From AERO Conference (May 20-24 2015) which had 29 exciting workshops and presentation  

Workshop on Mission Hill put forward key CONCEPTS as :

  • teachers have full autonomy,
  • everyone is important (students + teachers + staff + parents),
  • importance of setting up a framework of rules,
  • always starting school year by an outside retreat,
  • empathy and embracing people,
  • do things,
  • Importance of governance,
  • well acting and kindness as a base
  • setting up time for everyone to do what is felt like,
  • farm school,
  • annual theme being the thread for learning,
  • everyone teaching to everyone, everyone learning from everyone,

  • provide in depth learning (as opposed to learning to just succeed in testing),
